Founded in 2022, Northshore Sky was established by 2 awesome individuals and their dog, who dreamt of creating the most unique experience together.
It all started when Taylor (the dreamer) came to the lakehouse for the first time and suggested that this place would be perfect for a glamping dome. Ryan (the builder and owner) of this popular cabin rental, thought it was an amazing idea which not only would be enjoyed by them, but would be a destination spot for friends and family to get away, and spend quality time with one another.
One night, Ryan camped out in the woods alongside of the creek, set up camp and a fire to watch the stars and northern lights dance under the night sky. He had an unobstructed view of the north sky and It was the perfect spot to see the milky way and aurora borealis.
So Ryan decided to build the most unique star gazing, Igloo dome, where you can clearly see the stars under the nights sky from the comfort of your bed. It’s the dreamiest and most romantic experience that everyone should have for themselves, their partners, friends, family and pets!

This place has everything you would expect of a high end hotel, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The 3 acre private waterfront property with it's Cabin and Igloo dome provides comfort with the most unique views. The experience is priceless!
Location & Convenience
The property is in the Cheverfills Disctrict, right on the Winnipeg River, across from the town or Pinefalls, which is a 5 minute drive to all amenities such as hotels, restaurants and lounge, grocery store, gas station, liquor store, bank, retails stores and more. You also will have full cellular reception and signal and also be have access to unlimited highspeed WIFI.
Ease of travel
We are only a 90 minute drive from the city of Winnipeg, and access to this location is off main highways and paved roads which are constantly being cleared during the winter. You can easily get here with any vehicle and drive in all weather conditions.

This is Manitoba's one and only frameless, crystal clear, all season dome that provides a viewing experience like no other. From within the dome, you have an unobstructed view of the river from the creek, which the sun set right on. At night, you have a full view of the north sky, with a clear view of the milky way, and even the northern lights. What more can you ask for?

The dome is equipped with:

Clean linens, pillows, towels, access to a portion or to all facilities in the lakehouse (depending on your stay package), firepit, and amazing views.

There are 2 power outlets in the entrance of the dome and 3 inside the dome, one having USB charging ports for mobile charging. There are also power outlets on the platform outside the dome.
Yes, the domes are heated by electric heaters. One being a baseboard heater and the other an electric fireplace. The dome entrance area has insulated walls with a fan the circulates air and heat. For extra heat, we provide a propane heater, extra space heaters, and an electric heated blanket.
For an adventure, there is a prime fishing on the lake right off the property, so bring a license if you plan to fish. In the winter, you can go tobogganing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing as well. There are also excellent hiking, ATV, and snowmobile trails nearby. The property is located right on the Winnipeg, River, providing an expansive outdoor paradise.
Absolutely! There is a TV with HDMI cord to connect to your laptop which you can then stream Netflix or watch movies from your computer. Although the WIFI from the home will not connect the dome, you can still use Data from your phone to stream movies.
The dome temperature is 5 degrees warmer than the outside temperature with no heaters operating. With heaters on, the dome can get to 10-20 degrees warmer than the outside weather (in winter).
The dome has utensils, microwave, Nespresso Machine (coffee), Filtered water and water dispenser, toaster, mini-fridge and we supply all the linens and towels, so really there’s not much you need to bring other than your food and clothing for your stay.

Yes, bring your furry friends. There is plenty of space for them to run and explore. (Note: Extra charges for pets may apply)
The dome does not have a bathroom with no running water. You will have access to the cabin (300 ft away) where there is a full bathroom with shower and hot running water.
No. It is a self check-in property which allows you to have the entire property to yourself to ensure privacy. In case of emergency or need for urgent help, we can send for assistance to the property.

2 night minimum stay, 3 night minimum stay on long weekends.
Absolutely no smoking is allowed in any of our accommodations. But Vaping is OK.
Check-in is at 11am and check-out is at 11am. Early or late check out can be requested and discussed with host.
